Vietnam: Competence of an organization or individual surveying and assessing land

The Government of Vietnam issued Decree No. 136/2018/NĐ-CP on October 05, 2018, which specifies competence of an organization or individual surveying and assessing land.

To be specific:

A public service provider or an enterprise can survey and assess land upon its satisfaction of the following requirements:

- Its function, if it is a governmental public service provider, is to survey and assess land;

- It employs at least 02 (two) individuals who meet the requirements defined in Clause 2 of this Article.

An individual from an organization whose function is to survey and assess land shall conduct the survey and assessment of land upon his/her satisfaction of the following requirements:

- Possess university or higher qualifications in land management, cadastral management, land science, pedology, environment and other specializations that concern land surveying and assessment;

- Have worked in the sector of land resource management or land survey and assessment for at least 30 (thirty) months.

Organizations analyzing soil samples are required to have or hire a soil analysis laboratory certified by competent authorities.
