Vietnam: Basic skills required for graduates of Rubber Tree Engineering, Level 5 of VQF - Illustrative image

According to the regulation on the minimum knowledge volume and required competencies for graduates from intermediate and college levels in Rubber Tree Engineering issued together with Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the basic skills required for graduates of Rubber Tree Engineering, Level 5 of VQF in Vietnam are as follows:

- Propose measures for the use of fertilizers and the rehabilitation of sloping and gray barren soil;

- Describe and identify some common varieties of rubber trees in production;

- Proficiently perform the steps in the technical process of planting, caring for, propagating, and harvesting rubber latex;

- Compile and analyze data, discuss issues related to rubber trees;

- Predict, forecast, and identify types of rubber tree pests and effectively use control measures;

- Conduct experiments in the production of the Rubber Tree Engineering profession;

- Develop and organize the implementation of plans and steps in the technical process of planting, caring for, and harvesting rubber trees effectively;

- Develop and organize the implementation of issues related to scientific and effective rubber production management;

- Implement labor safety measures in the Rubber Tree Engineering profession and the current labor safety regulations of our country;

- Analyze the impacts of climate change and arrange appropriate and effective planting seasons suitable for the growth and development of rubber trees;

- Use technical measures in the Rubber Tree Engineering profession to minimize environmental damage to agriculture, creating sustainable and developing agriculture;

- Advise and transfer technical science achievements into practical production;

- Use basic information technology as prescribed; exploit, process, and apply information technology in the specialized work of the profession;

- Use basic foreign language skills, reaching level 2/6 in the Vietnamese Foreign Language Proficiency Framework; apply foreign language skills in the specialized work of the profession.
