This is a notable content mentioned in Article 12 of the Decree No. 134/2013/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government stipulating the sanction against administrative violation in the field of electricity, safety of hydroelectric dam, thrifty and effective use of energy.
According to Clause 3 Article 12 of the Decree No. 134/2013/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government, a fine of between 2,000,000 and 4,000,000 dong shall be imposed for arbitrarily installing, energization, cutting, repair, removal and replacement of electrical equipment and electrical works of the electricity seller.
Moreover, this fine shall also be imposed for failing to notify the electricity seller 15 days in advance when there is a need for termination of electricity sale contract in case of buying electricity for other purposes other than domestic purposes.
According to Decree No. 134/2013/NĐ-CP, a fine of between 5,000,000 and 7,000,000 dong shall be imposed on one of the following acts:
- Causing damage, arbitrarily removing the electricity metering system (including the meter protection cabinet, the seals and wiring diagram);
- Using equipment the purpose of interference causing damage to the equipment of data transmission, measurement and protection of electrical system.
In addition to the main forms of sanction, organizations and individuals committing violation shall also be subject to the remedial measures coercive restoration to the initial state.
