Recently, the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam issued Circular 23/2012/TT-BTTTT on the elaboration of postage stamps.
Vietnam: Application for the approval of a postage stamp design (Illustration)
According to Article 17 of Circular 23/2012/TT-BTTTT, the application for the approval of a postage stamp design in Vietnam includes:
- Written request from the Vietnam Post Corporation;
- Postage stamp design;
- Materials, documents, and images used for designing the postage stamp sample;
- Explanatory note of the creative idea;
- Agreement from competent domestic and foreign organizations and individuals to permit the use of materials, documents, images, and logos represented on the postage stamps.
In addition, the application for the approval of an official postage stamp design in Vietnam includes:
- Written request from the Vietnam Post Corporation;
- Materials, documents, and images used for designing the postage stamp sample;
- Explanatory note of the creative idea;
- Agreement from competent domestic and foreign organizations and individuals to permit the use of materials, documents, images, and logos represented on the postage stamps;
- Postage stamp design selected by the Ministry of Information and Communications for finalization;
- Official postage stamp design;
- Explanatory note of amendments;
- Confirmation letter from the relevant specialized competent authority regarding the contents displayed on the postage stamp design;
- Technical requirements for printing postage stamps;
- Special seal template (for postage stamps that are specially issueed).
