This is a notable content of the Decree No. 88/2014/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government on credit rating services.
Specifically, according to Article 21 of the Decree No. 88/2014/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government, criteria and conditions for analysts are as follows:
- Having full civil act capacity as prescribed by law.
- Not being officials or public employees.
- Possessing a university or higher degree in economics, finance, banking, accounting, audit, statistics, business administration or professional field in the business lines of credit rating agencies.
- Having at least three (3) years’ working experience in credit rating services.
Moreover, this Decree also stipulates criteria and conditions for general directors or directors of agencies and credit rating council members as follows:
For general directors or directors of agencies
- Having full civil act capacity as prescribed by law.
- Not being officials or public employees.
- Possessing a university or higher degree in economics, finance, banking, accounting, audit, statistics or business administration.
- Having at least ten (10) years’ working experience in credit rating services.
- Lawfully residing in Vietnam during their term of office.
For credit rating council members
- Having full civil act capacity as prescribed by law.
- Not being officials or public employees.
- Possessing a university or higher degree in economics, finance, banking, accounting, audit, statistics, business administration or professional field in the business lines of credit rating agencies.
- Having at least seven (7) years’ working experience in credit rating services.
