This is a notable content mentioned in Decree No. 124/2015/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government providing amendments and supplements to a number of articles of Decree No. 185/2013/NĐ-CP dated November 15, 2013 regulating penalties for administrative violations in commercial activities, production and trading in counterfeit and banned goods, and protection of consumer rights.
According to Decree No. 124/2015/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government, a fine from VND 20,000,000 – 30,000,000 for one of the following acts:
- Establish e-commerce service websites or e-commerce service apps without registration with competent state management agencies as prescribed;
- Receive transfer of e-commerce service websites or e-commerce service apps without following procedures on transfer or fail to register again with competent state management agencies as prescribed;
- Carry out supply of e-commerce services inconsistently with registration documents;
- Falsify information for registration of e-commerce service websites or e-commerce service apps;
- Forge registration information on e-commerce service websites or e-commerce service apps;
- Continue supply of e-commerce services after termination or postponement of registration;
In addition to being fined, violating organizations and individuals shall have their e-commerce activities suspended from 06 to 12 in case of multiple or repeated violations. Concurrently, force withdrawal of domains “.vn” of e-commerce websites or removal of mobile apps from app stores or from supplied addresses.
