Recently, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs in Vietnam issued Circular 50/2018/TT-BLDTBXH stipulating the minimum knowledge and competency requirements for graduates at intermediate and college levels for disciplines and professions in the mining engineering and other engineering fields.

Under Circular 50/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, college-level mine pit mechanical and electrical engineering is a discipline/profession in which the practitioner performs tasks (directly or indirectly) supporting the extraction of beneficial minerals by pit methods, meeting the requirements of level 5 in the Vietnamese Qualifications Framework.
