On April 29, 2014, the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam issued Circular 11/2014/TT-BGTVT guiding the design, construction, and acceptance of pedestrian suspension bridges.

Circular 11/2014/TT-BGTVT provides general guidelines on requirements regarding occupational safety during the construction of components and other structures of pedestrian suspension bridges in Vietnam as follows:
- Units carrying out the fabrication and erection of components must fully comply with technical requirements regarding occupational safety as prescribed by TCVN Standard 8747:2012 and other relevant legal provisions.
- Each production area and workplace must have safety rule boards that everyone must adhere to.
- The production workshop must be equipped with adequate lighting and ventilation to ensure industrial hygiene.
- Cutting, welding, and painting work must not be conducted in the same workshop or adjacent areas to prevent fire and explosion. Fire and explosion safety must be implemented according to TCVN 3254-86 and 3255-86.
- All workers must be fully equipped with personal protective equipment when working.
- Workers must wear life jackets when working on the river.- Heavy load installation of the bridge must have a signaler coordinating smoothly.
- There must be a specialized safety inspection department.
- Each construction team must have safety officers wearing red armbands during work shifts to remind everyone in case potentially unsafe situations arise.
- Safety measures must be taken when working at heights to prevent falls.
- Safety measures must be in place when arranging the construction electrical network.
- Rescue equipment must be available when working on river sections.
- Construction and erection must not be carried out during storm seasons. Stability measures must be increased in case of wind level 5 or higher.
