Recently, the Ministry of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam issued Circular No. 50/2018/TT-BLDTBXH regulating the minimum knowledge requirements and competency that learners must achieve upon graduation from intermediate and college levels in the fields of mining engineering and other technical fields.

Circular 50/2018/TT-BLDTBXH stipulates 08 skills required for the professions of operation of oil and gas processing equipment at the intermediate level, including:
Querying product quality indicators from the product quality indicator system;
Organizing the implementation of basic operational processes such as: closing, opening, regulating valves, starting, stopping, isolating different types of pumps, compressors, thermal equipment, heaters, and steam turbines under the supervision and guidance of engineers;
Identifying the position of equipment in the field;
Starting and stopping the technological system of workshops and plants according to the correct procedures;
Using basic occupational safety protection equipment and fire protection equipment;
Accurately reporting information during operation;
Using basic IT as stipulated; applying IT in certain specialized tasks of the industry;
Using basic foreign language skills, achieving level 1/6 in the Vietnam Foreign Language Proficiency Framework; applying foreign language skills in certain specialized tasks of the industry.
Additionally, the competencies and skills that learners must achieve after graduating from the intermediate level in the Oil and Gas Processing Equipment Operation industry can be further developed at higher levels. Graduates will have the capacity for self-learning, self-updating scientific and technological advances within the industry's scope to enhance their qualifications or pursue higher education levels in the same industry or related fields.
