On September 4, 2020, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam submitted the Draft Decree on the National Database on Insurance to the Government of Vietnam. The draft is currently under review and open for public comments.
Vietnam: 06 services for sharing data from the National Database on Insurance (Illustrative Image)
In Article 17 of the Draft Decree, the agency managing the National Database on Insurance of Vietnam shall develop services to share data from the National Database at the time the Database is set up and provide the following services by default:
- Service for sharing citizens' social insurance data.
- Service for sharing citizens' unemployment insurance data.
- Service for sharing citizens' health insurance data.
- Service for sharing enterprise contributions to insurance.
- Service for statistical data on insurance subjects based on basic indicators.
- Other data-sharing services as specified in Article 7 on the scope of data of the National Database on Insurance in this Decree.
Note: The agency managing the National Database on Insurance shall develop data-sharing services upon the request of other state agencies and provide data at the specific sharing requests for data not provided through the above services.
The above-mentioned data services must be declared and provided on the Data Service Management System. Reception and processing of requests for exploiting data services are conducted on the Data Service Management System.
Vietnam Social Security shall lead and cooperate with the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Information and Communications to develop the National Technical Regulations on the data message structure for exchange with the National Database on Insurance.
