Recently, the Ministry of Justice of Vietnam issued Circular 11/2014/TT-BTP on the assurance of gender equality in legal aid.

Under Article 17 of Circular 11/2014/TT-BTP, 05 responsibilities of legal aid-providing organizations in the assurance of gender equality in legal aid in Vietnam are as follows:
1. Take measures to assure gender equality in legal aid as prescribed in this Circular.
2. Collaborate with the Women's Union, labor, war invalids and social affairs agencies, domestic violence counseling facilities, support facilities for domestic violence victims, victims of trafficking, and other related agencies and organizations to assure the rights and obligations of legal aid beneficiaries are met; integrate legal aid activities into the activities of related agencies and organizations.
3. Propose solutions to assure gender equality in legal aid suitable to the conditions of their organization; cooperate with related agencies and organizations to implement measures ensuring gender equality in legal aid.
4. Implement reporting, statistical policies, preliminary and final reviews, and widespread exemplification of typical models; propose to competent authorities for commendation and handling of legal violations regarding ensuring gender equality in legal aid.
5. Propose to competent authorities and organizations to take measures to assure gender equality in legal aid; promptly address, recommend for handling, or handle according to issues arising in practice under authority when taking measures to assure gender equality in legal aid.
