Vietnam: 03 requirements for the design and fabrication of equipment of electrical project construction

This is an important content mentioned in Decree No. 14/2014/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s stipulating in detail the implementation of Electricity Law regarding electricity safety.

The design and fabrication of equipment of electrical project construction must comply with the technical regulations and standards or international and foreign standards which are applied in Vietnam with the permission of the local competent authorities and must meet the requirements specified in Decree No. 14/2014/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government:

- Electricity safety;

- Construction safety ;

- Safety of technologies using primary energy sources (hydraulic power, coal, oil, natural gas and other forms of energy);

- Fire and explosion prevention safety;

- Regulations on environmental protection.

New electrical equipment and power devices domestically produced or imported must have quality certificate or goods label and quality registration consistent with the technical regulations and standards and other relevant regulations of law; must have manual with technical parameters, features, effects and other instructions for the users to prevent electrical incidents and accidents.
