Vietnam: 02 forms of issuance of certificate of eligibility for HIV testing

Decree No. 75/2016/NĐ-CP was issued by the Government of Vietnam on July 01, 2016, providing conditions for HIV testing.

According to Decree No. 75/2016/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government, 02 forms of issuance of certificate of eligibility for HIV testing include:

- A new certificate of eligibility shall be granted to a laboratory applying for the certificate for the first time.

- A certificate of eligibility shall be reissued if:

+ It is damaged or lost; or

+ An unexpired certificate of confirmatory HIV testing laboratory is issued before the promulgation of this Decree No. 75/2016/NĐ-CP.

Also according to Decree No. 75/2016/NĐ-CP, the Ministry of Health or any agency authorized by the Ministry of Health has the power to issue, adjust, revoke certificates of eligibility and suspend HIV testing laboratories from running HIV confirmatory tests.
