This content is stipulated in Decree 82/2020/ND-CP on sanctions for administrative violations in the field of judicial assistance; judicial administration; marriage and family; civil judgment enforcement; bankruptcy of enterprises and cooperatives.
Using someone else's documents to complete marriage registration procedures: How much is the fine? (Illustration)
At Point a, Clause 2, Article 38 of Decree 82/2020/ND-CP, it is stipulated that a fine ranging from VND 3,000,000 to VND 5,000,000 shall be imposed for any of the following acts:
- Allowing others to use your documents to complete marriage registration procedures or using someone else's documents to complete marriage registration procedures;
- Providing false information, documents, or declarations, or providing false witness statements about marital status to complete marriage registration procedures.
Thus, any person who uses someone else's documents to complete marriage registration procedures will be fined from VND 3,000,000 to VND 5,000,000, and concurrently, the competent authorities are recommended to consider and handle the issued marriage certificate.
Furthermore, Decree 82 also stipulates a fine ranging from VND 1,000,000 to VND 3,000,000 for acts of erasure or alteration that distort the content of documents issued by competent authorities to complete marriage registration procedures. Confiscation of the erased or altered documents that distort the content is also mandated; the competent authorities are recommended to consider and handle the issued marriage certificate and the altered documents accordingly.
