Training and Professional Development for Aviation Personnel

According to the guidance on Training and Professional Training for Aviation Personnel, the specific regulations on training and professional training for aviation personnel are as follows:

1. Training and Professional Training Programs for Aviation Personnel

The training and professional training programs for aviation personnel include:

- Initial training and professional training programs for issuing professional certificates;- Competency training programs for aviation personnel;- Refresher training programs for aviation personnel;- Conversion training programs for aviation personnel;- Periodic training programs for aviation personnel;- Familiarization flight training programs for air traffic controllers.

The training and professional training programs for aviation personnel for positions specified in Clauses 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 13 of Article 6 of Circular 10/2018/TT-BGTVT shall be conducted in accordance with the regulations of specialized aviation legal documents. The training and professional training programs for other aviation personnel positions shall be conducted in accordance with Appendix 04 and Appendix 05 issued with this Circular.

2. Training and Professional Training Curricula for Aviation Personnel

The training and professional training curricula for aviation personnel are issued by the training institution and must comply with the training and professional training programs specified in Clause 2 of Article 12 and Clause 1 of Article 21 of Circular 10/2018/TT-BGTVT.

3. Recognition of Foreign Training Institutions for Aviation Personnel

The Vietnam Aviation Administration, based on specialized aviation legal documents and international treaties of which the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is a member, recognizes foreign training institutions that train and professionally train Vietnam's aviation personnel.

4. Online Training and Professional Training for Aviation Personnel

Training institutions are permitted to conduct online theoretical training and professional training when the following requirements are met:- Instructors must have the ability to organize and manage the class and possess online teaching skills.- Electronic curricula and materials must comply with the training and professional training programs specified in Clause 2 of Article 12 and Clause 1 of Article 21 of Circular 10/2018/TT-BGTVT.- Facilities, equipment, and technology must meet the requirements for online teaching, including an online training portal, server system, and internet network infrastructure.- There must be a process for organizing and conducting online training and professional training.
