On January 28, 2024, the Prime Minister issued Decision 110/QD-TTg on consolidating the Government's Administrative Reform Steering Committee.
Members of the Government's Administrative Reform Steering Committee in Vietnam
The Government's Administrative Reform Steering Committee was consolidated on the basis of the Government's Administrative Reform Steering Committee established under Decision 200/1998/QD-TTg. This is an interdisciplinary coordination organization with the function of helping the Prime Minister research, direct, coordinate, and urge ministries, branches, and localities to implement administrative reform according to the Government's administrative reform program and plan.
In particular, members of the Government's Administrative Reform Steering Committee include:
(1) Head of the Steering Committee: Prime Minister
(2) Deputy Head of the Steering Committee:
- Deputy Prime Minister, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee
- Minister of Home Affairs, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee

**Tasks
- Research and propose important guidelines, policies, initiatives and solutions to promote the Government's administrative reform work; give opinions on the program, long-term administrative reform plan and annual operating plan of the Steering Committee submitted to the Government by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
- Help the Prime Minister direct, harmonize, and coordinate between ministries, branches and localities in implementing administrative reform tasks and reviewing the content of important schemes and projects on administrative reform of the Government, draft resolutions and decrees of the Government, decisions and directives of the Prime Minister with content mainly related to administrative reform before submitting them to the Government or the Prime Minister for consideration and decision.
- Help the Prime Minister urge, monitor, and evaluate the implementation of administrative reform programs and plans, the implementation of administrative reform goals, tasks, and solutions.
- Summarize, evaluate the situation and results of implementing key tasks and solutions to administrative reform, proposing directions and solutions to promote administrative reform.
- Perform other tasks as requested by the Prime Minister.
**Power
- Establish subcommittees or working groups to help the Steering Committee implement administrative reform programs and plans.
- Be invited to attend meetings chaired by the Prime Minister or Deputy Prime Minister, meetings of ministries, branches, and local authorities related to the tasks of the Steering Committee.
- Invite leaders of ministries, branches, localities, and representatives of other relevant agencies and organizations to attend meetings and working sessions of the Steering Committee.
- Request ministries, branches, localities, state agencies, organizations, and individuals to provide information and documents to support the implementation of the Steering Committee's tasks.
- Organize working groups; urge and promote the implementation of tasks and solutions for administrative reform; and implement administrative reform plans and programs.
- Other powers assigned by the Prime Minister.
