The content is mentioned in Notice 274/TB-VPCP of 2023 on the conclusions of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at the meeting with the Vietnam Journalists Association issued by the Government Office.

To speed up the digital transformation of the press in association with the digital economy and the media economy in Vietnam

In the coming time, for the Vietnamese press to be truly revolutionary, professional, humane, and modern, the Vietnam Journalists Association needs to continue promoting its important role, together with ministries, branches, and localities, to focus on implementing the following tasks and solutions:

- Promote activities of gathering forces, building a team of journalists, focusing on fostering, improving, and training the political, ideological, capacity and professional qualities of members to "serve the Fatherland", "serve the people", "serve the class, and humanity" as the beloved Uncle Ho once instructed. Working together, focusing on building and developing a team of journalists who are politically sensitive, economically sensitive, knowledgeable about science and technology; correcting the "standard deviations" of professional ethics; maintaining a "bright mind, a pure heart, and a sharp pen", promoting human values in journalistic activities.

Protect the legitimate rights and interests of members in performing their duties, and strictly handle violations, especially taking advantage of the pres to go against the goals and ideals of the Party, the policies and laws of the State and the interests of the People.

- Continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the goal of building a professional, humane, and modern press and media according to the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress.

The press must accompany the nation, better its ideological orientation function, be a sharp weapon to protect the Party's ideological foundation, and protect the interests of the nation.

Sticking to the political tasks of the country, agencies, localities, and units to reflect, especially 06 key tasks, 03 strategic breakthroughs.

- Press agencies and journalists' associations at all levels should continue to innovate their contents and modes of operation. Strengthening constructive information and social criticism to put the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws into practice, "bringing the Party's will closer to the people".

Focusing on detecting hot, sensitive, and newly emerging issues and bottlenecks; go into orientation, suggest solutions to solve difficult and complicated domestic and international problems.

Promoting cultural propaganda commensurate with economic, political, and social propaganda according to 06 tasks and 04 groups of solutions mentioned by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the National Cultural Conference in 2021; enhancing the quality of journalistic works, ensuring high combatability, profound human values, and a strong impact on both reason and emotions of the public; thereby orienting public opinion, creating social consensus, and consolidating the people's firm belief in the Party and State.

- The press must take the lead in discovering and praising new factors, examples of good people, good deeds, good practices, advanced models, taking beauty to eliminate evil, taking the positive to repel the negative, creating motivation, and inspiring the community and society. Well perform the role of supervisor and reviewer; provide accurate, timely, truthful, and transparent information.

Stepping up the struggle to protect truth, justice, and honest people; fighting against wrong thoughts and actions, especially the deterioration in ideology, politics, morality, and lifestyle; and actively participating in the prevention and fight against corruption, negativity, and wastefulness.

- Promoting the digital transformation of the press in association with the digital economy and the media economy. Sticking to the inevitable trends in the world's press and media to innovate and do a good job of leading and orienting public opinion.

- The press must contribute to building a clean and strong Party and political system; improve the leadership capacity and combat strength of Party organizations and members; and build effective and efficient administrative agencies at all levels, with a contingent of qualified, capable, and reputable cadres to meet the requirements of tasks. To step up the prevention and fight against corruption, negativity, and wastefulness; strictly handle violations.

- Strengthening political, professional, and ethical training for reporters and journalists. Thoroughly grasping and strictly implementing the Law on Press, 10 articles of the Code of Ethics for Vietnamese journalists; continuing to perfect the law on the press, ensuring the freedom of the press, in accordance with the law, and protecting the right to lawful practice and the legitimate interests of journalists. Focus on building party organizations through clean and strong press agencies.

- The press promotes the revolutionary spirit to continue to convey the great undertakings and policies of the Party and State to the People and reflect the aspirations of the People, especially the policies with great impact, the policy of innovation in the fields of economy, education, infrastructure, health, policies for ethnic minorities, for deep-lying, remote areas, borders, and islands, the policy of great national unity...

The Vietnam Journalists Association should actively promote innovation in content and policy communication in a proactive, timely, and appropriate manner, contributing to improving the effectiveness of information and public opinion. Summarize the national press award to propose innovation, raise the level, and improve the quality of the award.
