To encourage the citizen to denounce violations of food safety in Vietnam (Internet image)
Party committees at all levels, party and government organizations, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and socio-political organizations should, based on the contents of Directive 17-CT/TW and the functions, tasks, powers, characteristics, and specific situation of localities and units, develop programs and plans to concretize the implementation of the directive in accordance with the actual situation of each level, branch, locality, and unit and focus on the following key contents:
Specifically, renewing and diversifying forms of propaganda, applying digital technology in propaganda and education, raising awareness, and determining the responsibilities and actions of party committees and organizations at all levels, including officials, party members, and the public, on ensuring food security and safety
Providing information, consulting services, and legal support on ensuring food security and safety; promptly informing, propagating, and praising businesses; honoring products that ensure good quality and food safety; and recognizing organizations and units with good achievements in ensuring food security and safety. Products;
Promoting safe, high-quality food supply chains, promptly notifying violators, potentially posing risks of food insecurity and safety in accordance with regulations;
Launching a people-wide movement to condemn acts that violate food security and safety; boycotting products and goods that do not ensure food safety; and resolutely combating negative phenomena and group interests in the field of food security and safety.
Determining the responsibilities of the party committees and authorities at all levels, especially the leaders, in leading and directing the organization to perform the work of ensuring food security and safety;
Ensuring control of input factors that pose a risk of food insecurity and safety; quickly applying and transferring technology; building safe and quality food supply value chains;
Forming specialized production areas and clean and circular agricultural production
so that people can use safe and sustainable food, meet export requirements, and contribute to improving people's quality of life and socio-economic development;
Developing an inter-sectoral coordination mechanism to strengthen inspection, examination, supervision, and handling of food security and safety violations
Thus, quickly consolidating the organizational apparatus for food security and safety in the direction of unifying only one focal point to perform tasks from the central to local levels
Clearly defining the functions, tasks, and responsibilities of all levels and branches in ensuring food security and safety. Decentralization, decentralization, and renewal of management, administration, and coordination methods of agencies and units responsible for food security and safety; ensuring scientific, rigorous, effective, and appropriate with assigned functions and tasks;
Reviewing and completin the system of legal documents on assurance of food security and safety; soon review the implementation of the Law on Food Safety; and focus on developing and implementing policies, institutions, professional and technical guidance in ensuring food security and safety, suitable to the current practical situation.
