The decrease of some interest rates at the State Bank of Vietnam is specified in Decision 313/QD-NHNN dated March 14, 2023.

To decrease some interest rates of State Bank of Vietnam from March 15, 2023 (Internet image)

On March 14, 2023, the SBV issued Decision 313/QD-NHNN on the refinancing rate, rediscount rate, overnight rate for inter-bank electronic payment, and interest rate for loans for covering the capital shortfall regarding clearing of the State Bank of Vietnam for credit institutions and branches of foreign banks.

To decrease some interest rates of State Bank of Vietnam from March 15, 2023

According to Decision 313/QD-NHNN dated March 14, 2023, the interest rates of the State Bank of Vietnam are as follows:

- Refinancing rate: 6.0%/year.

- Rediscount rate: 3.5%/year

(Compared to Decision 1809/QD-NHNN dated October 24, 2022, the rediscount rate decreased by 1.0%/year)

- Overnight rate for inter-bank electronic payment and interest rate for loans for covering the capital shortfall regarding clearing of the State Bank of Vietnam for credit institutions and foreign bank branches: 6.0%/year .

(Compared to Decision 1809/QD-NHNN dated October 24, 2022, the overnight rate for inter-bank electronic payment and interest rate for loans for covering the capital shortfall regarding clearing of the State Bank of Vietnam for credit institutions and foreign bank branches decreased by 1.0%/year)

More details can be found in Decision 313/QD-NHNN effective from March 15, 2023, replacing Decision 1809/QD-NHNN dated October 24, 2022.
