Three Criteria for Evaluating the Development of Preschool Children by Day

At the end of 2016, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Circular 28/2016/TT-BGDDT amending and supplementing certain contents of the Preschool Education Program issued with Circular 17/2009/TT-BGDDT.

To be specific, in order to promptly assess and adjust daily care and education plans for children, preschool institutions must conduct evaluations based on the following criteria:

- The health status of the children.- The emotional state, attitudes, and behaviors of the children.- The knowledge and skills of the children.

According to Circular 28/2016/TT-BGDDT, evaluations are to be conducted using one or a combination of the following methods:

- Observation.- Conversation and communication with the children.- Analysis of the children's activity products.- Discussions with parents/caregivers.

Note: Teachers must observe and record any significant changes in the children and note important points daily to promptly adjust care and education plans.
