The Steering Committee for developing economic-technical norms in vocational education and training in Vietnam has a maximum of 9 members

This is an important content in Circular 07/2020/TT-BLDTBXH of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam, which stipulates the development, appraisal, and issuance of economic - technical norms for training applied in the field of vocational education in Vietnam, issued on October 12, 2020.

The Steering Committee for developing economic-technical norms in vocational education and training in Vietnam has a maximum of 9 members (Illustration)

To be specific, Article 9 of Circular 07/2020/TT-BLDTBXH stipulates the establishment of the Steering Committee for developing economic-technical norms as follows:

- The agency assigned the task of organizing the development of economic-technical norms decides to establish the Steering Committee for developing economic-technical norms for each training sector or vocation.

- Composition of the Steering Committee for developing economic-technical norms:

- The Steering Committee for developing economic-technical norms for intermediate and college-level training includes 07 or 09 members; for primary and training under 3 months, it includes 03 or 05 members. Depending on the workload, specific conditions of each sector or vocation in need of developing economic-technical norms, the agency organizing the development of economic-technical norms will decide the number of members in the Steering Committee;

- The Steering Committee for developing economic-technical norms includes: the Chair, Vice Chair, and members, with one member concurrently serving as the Secretary of the committee;

- Members of the Steering Committee for developing economic-technical norms are educators, management officials, and technical science officers with expertise in the sector or vocation for which economic-technical norms are being developed.

Note: Standards for members of the Steering Committee for developing economic-technical norms:

- Members should have at least a university-level qualification for the Steering Committee responsible for intermediate and college-level training, and at least a secondary-level qualification for the Steering Committee responsible for primary-level training and training under 3 months.

- They should have at least 05 years of experience in the sector or vocation for which economic-technical norms are being developed and currently be working in fields related to that sector or vocation.

Additionally, the responsibilities and powers of the Steering Committee for developing economic-technical norms are stipulated as follows:

- Responsible for the process of organizing the development of economic-technical norms for the assigned sector or vocation;

- Responsible for the content and quality of the economic-technical norms; reporting to the Appraisal Council; completing and handing over the draft after it has been evaluated and approved by the Appraisal Council;

- Managing financial expenditures and being accountable for the accuracy, reasonableness, and legality of expenditure documents according to current regulations.
