The People's Air Defense Forces Enjoy Policies Similar to the Militia and Self-Defense Forces

Decree 74/2015/ND-CP stipulates that individuals not receiving salaries from the state budget, during their mobilization to participate in people's air defense work, people's air defense training, and drills, are entitled to the same policies as currently prescribed for militia and self-defense officers and soldiers who do not receive salaries from the state budget according to Clause 2, Article 47 of the Law on Militia and Self-Defense.

Additionally, individuals directly participating in the people's air defense forces who fall ill, suffer accidents, are injured, or die are entitled to the policies according to Clause 1 and Clause 2, Article 51 of the Law on Militia and Self-Defense.

Furthermore, Decree 74 stipulates the authority for the establishment, working policies, and operating principles of the People's Air Defense Steering Committees at various levels as follows:

- The Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam decides the establishment of the Central People's Air Defense Steering Committee;

- The Commander of the Military Region decides the establishment of the People's Air Defense Steering Committee at the military region level;

- The Chairman of the Provincial and District People's Committees decides the establishment of the People's Air Defense Steering Committee at their respective levels.

Working regime: Members of the People's Air Defense Steering Committees at all levels work according to part-time policies.

People's Air Defense Steering Committees at all levels operate according to the working regulations of their respective Steering Committees and according to the principles of democratic centralism, utilizing collective intelligence, emphasizing the responsibilities of the Head and Deputy Head. Members of the People's Air Defense Steering Committees at all levels work according to the functions and tasks assigned to them.
