The Number of Vehicles Required to Serve State Funerals and National Mourning Ceremonies

On December 03, 2018, the Ministry of National Defense issued Circular 166/2018/TT-BQP stipulating the provision of vehicles for State funerals and National funerals.

Circular 166 stipulates the number and types of vehicles for National Mourning Ceremony and State Funeral as follows:

Vehicles for National Mourning Ceremony include:

- Command vehicles: 03 vehicles (01 vehicle carrying National Flag, photo, medal pillow; 01 vehicle carrying Military Flag; 01 command vehicle).- Transport vehicles: 06 vehicles (carrying honor guard formation).- 3-axle transport vehicles: 03 vehicles (01 vehicle towing funeral carriage, 01 vehicle carrying flowers, 01 backup vehicle).- Communication vehicles: 02 vehicles.- Ambulance: 01 vehicle.- Funeral carriage A: 01 vehicle (at the end of the funeral carriage is a 122mm howitzer).

Vehicles for State Funeral include:

- Command vehicles: 02 vehicles (01 vehicle carrying Military Flag, photo, medal pillow; 01 command vehicle).- Transport vehicles: 03 vehicles (carrying honor guard formation).- 3-axle transport vehicles: 03 vehicles (01 vehicle towing funeral carriage, 01 vehicle carrying flowers, 01 backup vehicle).- Communication vehicles: 02 vehicles.- Ambulance: 01 vehicle.- Funeral carriage B: 01 vehicle (at the end of the funeral carriage is a platform with the inscription “The Nation Remembers”).
