The entire land use plan must be publicly disclosed no later than 15 days

New regulations in the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of 37 laws related to planning clarify that land use plans must be publicly disclosed within 15 days at the latest.

The entire content of the land use plan, after being approved by the competent authority, must be publicly announced as stipulated below:

- The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment is responsible for publicly announcing the national land use plan at its headquarters and on the electronic information portal of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment; the Provincial People's Committee is responsible for publicly announcing the provincial land use plan at its headquarters and on the electronic information portal of the Provincial People's Committee; the District People's Committee is responsible for publicly announcing the district land use plan at its headquarters, on the electronic information portal of the District People's Committee, and publicly announcing relevant contents of the district land use plan at the headquarters of the Commune-level People's Committee;

- The public announcement must be made no later than 15 days (current regulation is 30 days) from the date of approval by the competent authority;

- The public announcement must be maintained throughout the period of the land use plan.

Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of 37 laws relating to planning officially takes effect from January 01, 2019.
