The Deadline for Providing Information on Administrative Violations Handling

This is an important provision stipulated in Circular 13/2016/TT-BTP, which regulates the process of providing, receiving, updating information, and exploiting, using the National Database on Handling Administrative Violations.

The provision of information regarding the handling of administrative violations must be conducted within the following time limits:

- Within 02 working days from the date the Administrative Violation Penalty Decision or the Decision on the application of administrative measures or related decisions are issued, the agency must provide information to the person or department responsible for receiving and updating their agency's information.- In remote, isolated, border, and mountainous areas where travel is difficult, the time allowed for providing information is extended but must not exceed 04 working days from the date of issuance of the Administrative Violation Penalty Decision.- In cases of collecting fines on the spot or penalizing at sea, the agency of the official with authority to impose penalties is responsible for providing information to the person or department responsible for receiving and updating their agency's information within 02 working days from the date the collected fines are deposited in the State Treasury or at a commercial bank.

Circular 13/2016/TT-BTP takes effect from February 15, 2017.
