On October 26, 2020, the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam issued the Circular No. 86/2020/TT-BTC elaborating to specific diet for highly acclaimed sport trainers and highly acclaimed atheletes.
According to Article 3 of Circular No. 86/2020/TT-BTC of the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam, details and expenditure on implementing diet for trainers and athletes during training period are as follows:
First, domestic training period: Refers to the total number of days in which trainers and athletes are present and training according to decisions of competent authorities; specific expenditure is as follows (unit: VND/individual/day):
Second, overseas training: Trainers and athletes during overseas training shall benefit from daily meals according to invitation or contracts signed between domestic athlete management agencies and overseas training facilities.
Moreover, details and expenditure on implementing diet for trainers and athletes during competition period are specified as follows:
- During competition period for highly acclaimed sports events as stated under Clauses 2, 4, 5, 6, and 7 Article 37 of Law on Sports in 2006 and amendments thereto in 2018, trainer and athletes shall benefit from diet as follows (unit: VND/individual/day):
- During competition period of highly acclaimed sports events specified under Clauses 1 and 3 Article 37 of Law on Sports in 2006 and amendments thereto in 2018, trainers and athletes shall benefit from diet prescribed by event regulations (but not daily meal worth specified under Point a Clause 2 Article 3 of this Circular).
