Recently, the Government of Vietnam promulgated Decree 54/2007/ND-CP regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries of communes and wards, and the establishment of wards and commune-level towns under the districts of Hai An, Le Chan, Kien An, and An Lao, Hai Phong city.
Thanh To ward with an area of 322.57 hectares and 10,352 inhabitants established from April 27 (Illustration)
Decree 54/2007/ND-CP stipulates the establishment of Thanh To Ward under Hai An District on the basis of adjusting 276.77 ha of natural area and 2,112 population of Dang Lam Ward; 45.80 ha of natural area and 8,240 population of Cat Bi Ward.
To be specific:
- Thanh To Ward has 322.57 ha of natural area and a population of 10,352.- Administrative boundaries of Thanh To Ward: East borders Trang Cat Ward, Nam Hai Ward; West borders Cat Bi Ward; South borders Kien Thuy District; North borders Dang Hai Ward and Dang Lam Ward.- After adjusting the administrative boundaries: Cat Bi Ward remains with 75 ha of natural area and a population of 13,969; Dang Lam Ward remains with 238.99 ha of natural area and a population of 11,012. Hai An District has 8 subordinate administrative units, including the wards: Nam Hai, Dang Hai, Trang Cat, Dong Hai 1, Dong Hai 2, Dang Lam, Cat Bi, and Thanh To.
At the same time, establish Kenh Duong Ward under Le Chan District on the basis of adjusting 162.43 ha of natural area and population 8,930 of Du Hang Kenh Ward. Kenh Duong Ward has 162.43 ha of natural area and a population of 8,930.
Administrative boundaries of Kenh Duong Ward: East borders Ngo Quyen District; West borders Du Hang Kenh Ward; South borders Vinh Niem Ward; North borders Dong Hai Ward, Du Hang Kenh Ward.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries: Du Hang Kenh Ward remains with 118.06 ha of natural area and a population of 21,436. Le Chan District has 15 subordinate administrative units, including the wards: Trai Cau, Ho Nam, Hang Kenh, Dong Hai, An Bien, Du Hang, Vinh Niem, Nghia Xa, Niem Nghia, Cat Dai, Tran Nguyen Han, Lam Son, An Duong, Du Hang Kenh, and Kenh Duong.
