Technical Instructions on Referencing Relevant Documents

This content is specifically stipulated in Circular 21/2016/TT-BGTVT issued by the Ministry of Transport on August 25, 2016.

Accordingly, Circular 21 stipulates that citation techniques for relevant documents must be performed as follows:

- When citing relevant documents, it is required to include the full name of the document type, number, document symbol; date, month, and year of adoption or promulgation of the document; name of the agency, person with authority to issue the document, and the title of the document;- In case of citing parts, chapters, sections, subsections of a legal normative document, it is necessary to specify the part, chapter, section, and subsection of that document;- In case of citing articles, clauses, or points, it is not required to clearly define the layout units of the part, chapter, section, or subsection containing those articles, clauses, or points;- In case of citing parts, chapters, sections, subsections, articles, clauses, or points of a document, it must be cited in ascending order and include the name of the document; if citing from one clause, point to another clause, point within the same article or from one section, article to another section, article within the same chapter of the same document, it is not required to specify the name of the document but must provide specific citations.
