Vacancies for the position of Court Secretary in the People's Courts in the first phase of 2024 in Vietnam

On May 20, 2024, the Supreme People's Court of Vietnam issued Announcement 498/TB-PCTC regarding the organization of the recruitment examination for officials for the position of Court Secretary in the People's Courts.

The Supreme People's Court aims to recruit 260 officials for the position of Court Secretary to work in various levels of the People's Courts.

Qualifications for applying for the position of Court Secretary in the first phase of 2024 in Vietnam

1. General eligibility criteria:

Individuals who meet the following conditions, regardless of ethnicity, gender, social background, belief, or religion, are eligible to apply for the position of Court Secretary in the People's Courts:

- Vietnamese nationality;

- 18 years of age or above;

- Possession of a registration form and a clear personal history document confirmed by the competent authority within a 30-day period from the date of submitting the application;

- Good political and moral qualities, with no violations of the Supreme People's Court's regulations on internal political protection in terms of personal and family political history;

- Good health condition as determined by the authorized medical agency, without deformities, disabilities, or speech impairments. Additionally, male candidates must be at least 1.60m tall and weigh at least 50kg, while female candidates must be at least 1.55m tall and weigh at least 45kg.

2. Specific requirements based on the position:

* Professional qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Law from a regular program with a grade of "Good" or above. Additionally, possession of a certificate or diploma in Court procedure issued by the Judicial Academy; or possession of a certificate or diploma in trial procedure, prosecution procedure, or lawyer profession (under the unified training program) issued by the Justice Academy.

- In special cases, the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court will make the decision.

* Language:

Possession of a Level 2 language proficiency certificate (or equivalent) according to the Framework of Foreign Language Proficiency for Vietnam, as regulated in Circular 01/2014/TT-BGDĐT dated January 24, 2014, issued by the Ministry of Education and Training.

* informatics:

Possession of a basic information technology application certificate according to the standard skills for using information technology, as regulated in Circular 03/2014/TT-BTTTT dated March 11, 2014, issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications.

3. Priority in recruitment:

The recruitment process follows the provisions of Article 5 of Decree 138/2020/ND-CP dated November 27, 2020, by the Government regarding the recruitment, use, and management of civil servants. Priority applications must be submitted by the competent authority before the application deadline. If the submission occurs after the deadline, no priority points will be given. The priority information must be provided in the registration form. Additional or supplementary priority documents submitted after the application deadline will not be considered for priority points.

4. Ineligibility for registration:

- Non-residents of Vietnam;

- Individuals with lost or restricted capacity for civil conduct;

- Individuals who are under criminal investigation; individuals who are currently or have completed the execution of sentences or decisions in criminal cases by the Court without their records being cleared; individuals subject to administrative measures for compulsory treatment in medical or educational facilities; individuals subject to disciplinary actions from reprimands or higher levels or individuals under disciplinary consideration.
