On November 29, 2022, the Prime Minister of Vietnam issued Decision 24/2022/QD-TTg on policies to support managers, teachers, and employees in non-public preschool and primary education institutions facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

1. Support of VND 3.7 million for each private preschool teacher facing difficulties due to COVID-19 in Vietnam.

According to Decision 24/2022/QD-TTg, the support level is as follows:

- A lump-sum payment of VND 3,700,000 per person for managers, teachers, and employees who have not yet received local policies to support groups of employees who do not have a labor contract, as prescribed in Clause 12 and Section II of Resolution 68/NQ-CP, as well as a number of other specific subjects.

- A lump-sum payment of VND 2,200,000 per person for managers, teachers, and employees who have benefited from local policies as outlined in Clause 12 of Resolution 68/NQ-CP.

2. Conditions for receiving support for private preschool teachers facing difficulties due to COVID-19 in Vietnam

Managers, teachers, and employees are entitled to the policy when the following conditions are satisfied:

- A person working at a non-public educational institution prior to the institution's suspension of operations at the request of a competent state agency to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic, which will begin on May 1, 2021 until the end of December 31, 2021.

- One month or more of unpaid leave between May 1, 2021, and December 31, 2021.

- Employees who suspend labor contracts or take unpaid leave as prescribed in Clauses 4, 5, 6, Section II, Resolution 68/NQ-CP, and Resolution 126/NQ-CP due to non-participation in compulsory social insurance which is not yet covered by the support policy.

- Having employment confirmation at a non-public educational institution for at least the end of the school year 2021-2022, according to the local school year plan, including a previously worked non-public educational institution or a previously worked inactively non-public educational institution.
