Supplementing the Authority to Impose Administrative Sanctions in the Maritime Areas of the Ministry of Border Defense

This is the content stipulated in Decree 23/2017/ND-CP, which prescribes administrative penalties for violations in the sea areas, islands, and continental shelf of Vietnam.

According to Decree 23, Station Chiefs and Team Leaders of Border Guard Soldiers also have the authority to impose administrative penalties for administrative violations in the seas, islands, and continental shelf areas of Vietnam.

The authority to impose administrative penalties of the Border Guard in the areas and scopes of their jurisdiction is as follows:

- Station Chiefs and Team Leaders of Border Guard Soldiers on duty have the right to impose fines up to 2,500,000 VND;- Border Guard Station Chiefs, Border Guard Squadron Chiefs, Subsector Border Guard Commanders, and Port Border Guard Commanders have the right to impose fines up to 25,000,000 VND;- Provincial Border Guard Commanders and Border Guard Fleet Commanders under the Border Guard Command have the right to impose fines up to 1,000,000,000 VND.
