Supplementing "Hero Provinces and Cities" into the State Honorary Title

Honorary titles awarded or posthumously conferred by the State to individuals, or awarded to collectives with particularly outstanding contributions to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland include:

- "Heroic Province," "Heroic City";- "Vietnamese Heroic Mother";- "Hero of the People's Armed Forces";- "Hero of Labor";- "People's Teacher," "Outstanding Teacher";- "People's Doctor," "Outstanding Doctor";- "People's Artist," "Outstanding Artist";- "People's Artisan," "Outstanding Artisan".

The title "Heroic Province," "Heroic City" is awarded to provinces, cities directly under the central government that meet the following standards:

- Achieving particularly outstanding and comprehensive achievements in politics, economy, culture, society, education, science, technology, national defense, security, and foreign affairs; making huge contributions to the struggle for national liberation, building, and defending the Fatherland;- Dynamic, creative, deserving to be the economic, cultural, scientific, technological centers, and a driving force for regional and national development in the process of renewal, promoting industrialization and modernization of the country;- The organizations of the Communist Party, government, Vietnam Fatherland Front, and other organizations are united, clean, and strong;- Having been awarded the titles "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" and "Hero of Labor".
