1. Standards of professional ethics for actors in Vietnam

According to Article 3 of Circular 10/2022/TT-BVHTTDL, ethical standards for actor professional titles include:

- Have a sense of responsibility for assigned work, comply with the provisions of the law, properly and fully perform the obligations of public employees in professional activities.

- Contribute to the development of performing arts and cinema; consciously preserve, preserve, and promote the traditional arts of the Vietnamese ethnic community.

- Be enthusiastic about the profession; honest, objective, and straightforward; have a humble and proper attitude when interacting with the public; consciously fight against wrong and negative behaviors; practice thrift and prevent waste.

- Have a spirit of solidarity, positivity, and proactive coordination with colleagues to perform assigned tasks.

- Continuously study and practice to improve quality, qualifications, and capacity.

2. Standards for professional titles of actor in Vietnam

2.1. Actor class I

* Standards for training and fostering qualifications

Class I actors need to meet the following standards specified in Clause 2, Article 8 of Circular 10/2022/TT-BVHTTDL:

- Have a university diploma or higher suitable for majoring in performing arts and cinema according to job position requirements.

In case you have a university diploma or higher in another major, you must be awarded the title "People's Artist", "Elite Artist" or "Ho Chi Minh Award", "State Award" in literature and art;

- Have a certificate of training in professional standards for actors and officials.

* Standards of professional and professional capacity

Regarding professional and professional capacity, actors must meet the following standards:

- Firmly grasp the Party's policies and guidelines and the State's policies and laws on performing arts and cinema;

- Have excellent artistic talent in specialized fields;

- Master specialized professional knowledge and apply it effectively in creating artistic images; Deeply understand the characteristics of combined arts subjects and related scientific and technical subjects;

- Have the ability to direct, research, and coordinate with colleagues in organizing professional activities;

- Ability to propose creative artistic solutions.

2.2. Actor class II

* Standards for training and fostering qualifications

In order for an individual to achieve the title of Class II actor, he or she must meet the standards specified in Clause 2, Article 9 of Circular 10/2022/TT-BVHTTDL, specifically as follows:

- Have a university diploma or higher suitable for majoring in performing arts and cinema according to job position requirements.

In case you have a university diploma or higher in another major, you must be awarded the titles "People's Artist", "Elite Artist" or "Ho Chi Minh Award" and "State Award" in literature and art;

- Have a certificate of training in professional standards for actors and officials.

* Standards of professional and professional capacity

According to Clause 3, Article 9 of Circular 10/2022/TT-BVHTTDL, standards for professional and career capacity for the title of class II actor include:

- Firmly grasp the Party's policies and guidelines and the State's policies and laws on performing arts and cinema;

- Have artistic talent in specialized fields;

- Master specialized professional knowledge and apply it to the creation of artistic images; the basic characteristics and characteristics of combined arts subjects; the basic knowledge of related scientific and technical subjects;

- Ability to research, propose, and coordinate with colleagues in professional activities.

2.3. Actor class III

* Standards for training and fostering qualifications

Regarding training and fostering qualifications, actors must meet the following standards:

- Have a university diploma or higher suitable for majoring in performing arts and cinema according to job position requirements.

In case you have a university diploma or higher in another major, you must be awarded the title "People's Artist", "Elite Artist" or "Ho Chi Minh Award", "State Award" in literature and art;

- Have a certificate of training in professional standards for actors and officials.

* Standards of professional and professional capacity

Specifically, in Clause 3, Article 10 of Circular 10/2022/TT-BVHTTDL, the rank III civil servant position must meet the following standards:

- Firmly grasp the Party's policies and guidelines and the State's policies and laws on performing arts and cinema;

- Have talent in specialized fields;

- Grasp specialized professional knowledge, basic characteristics of combined arts subjects, and basic knowledge of related scientific and technical subjects;

- Ability to coordinate with colleagues in professional activities.

2.4. Actor class IV

* Standards for training and fostering qualifications

In order for an individual to achieve the title of class IV actor, he or she must meet the standards specified in Clause 2, Article 11 of Circular 10/2022/TT-BVHTTDL, specifically as follows:

- Have an intermediate diploma or higher suitable for majoring in performing arts and cinema according to job position requirements.

- Have a certificate of training in professional standards for actors and officials.

* Standards of professional and professional capacity

According to Clause 3, Article 11 of Circular 10/2022/TT-BVHTTDL, the standards for professional capacity and professionalism of the rank IV actor title are as follows:

- Understand the Party's policies and guidelines and the State's policies and laws on performing arts and cinema;

- Have talent in specialized fields;

- Have knowledge of specialized professions and basic characteristics of art subjects;

- Ability to coordinate with colleagues in professional activities.

Circular 10/2022/TT-BVHTTDL takes effect on December 15, 2022.
