Summary of acceptance requirements for X-ray equipment in Vietnam

The Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam issued Circular 28/2015/TT-BKHCN on the promulgation of the "National Technical Regulation on General X-ray Equipment Used in Medicine" on December 30, 2015. 2	Output Dose Linearity	The linearity must be within ± 20%.
V	Focal Spot, Beam Characteristics, and Beam Filtering
1	Effective Focal Spot Size	The variation of the focal spot must not exceed the allowable range.
2	Beam Collimation Accuracy	The collimation deviation must not exceed 1.50
3	Congruence between Light Field and Radiation Field	The deviation of one edge between the two fields must not exceed 2%, the total deviation of two edges along each axis must not exceed 3%, and the total deviation of the edges along both axes must not exceed 4% of the distance from the focal spot to the image receptor.
4	Primary Beam Filtration	HVL must not be lower than the minimum allowable value.
