Subjects of National Technical Regulations and Standards under the Ministry of Information and Communications in 2020

At Article 4 Circular 13/2019/TT-BTTTT stipulates the objects of national technical regulations, national standards under the management of the Ministry of Information and Communications as follows:

- Objects of QCVN, TCVN include products, equipment, networks, systems, services, and processes in the field of information and communications and are specifically identified within the scope of the technical regulation, standard.- Objects of QCVN, TCVN belong to the fields assigned as prescribed in point g, clause 7, Article 1 Decree 78/2018/ND-CP dated May 16, 2018 of the Government of Vietnam amending and supplementing several articles of Decree 127/2007/ND-CP dated August 1, 2007 of the Government of Vietnam detailing the implementation of several articles of the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations.- Objects of QCVN, TCVN in other fields according to management requirements at each period, regulated by related specialized laws and the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Information and Communications.

In which:

- National technical regulation in the field of information and communications (QCVN): is a technical regulation in the field of information and communications organized and promulgated by the Ministry of Information and Communications.

- National standard in the field of information and communications (TCVN): is a standard in the field of information and communications organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications, and proposed to the Ministry of Science and Technology for verification and announcement.
