Students of vocational air security inspection need to acquire the following 12 skills

On December 28, 2018, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs issued Circular 56/2018/TT-BLDTBXH stipulating the minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduation from intermediate, college levels in transportation services, environment, and security sectors.

Aviation Security Check Students Need 12 Skills, Circular 56/2018/TT-BLDTBXH

Intermediate-level students in aviation security check need the following 12 skills (illustrative image)

Circular 56/2018/TT-BLDTBXH stipulates that intermediate-level students studying aviation security check must meet the following skills upon graduation:

- Proficiently, safely, and effectively use security means, equipment, weapons, and supporting tools installed at the workplace;

- Analyze issues, events, and phenomena related to aviation security, and abnormalities occurring during task performance;

- Identify trends in new methods and techniques of criminal activities and unlawful interference in the aviation sector, methods, and habits of concealing and transporting dangerous items into restricted areas and onto aircraft;

- Present plans and establish security check and control points with appropriate and effective manpower and security equipment;

- Proficiently carry out patrol, guard, inspect, search, monitor, screen, and visually check vehicles, people, luggage, goods, mail, meals, and objects; handle dangerous items; implement the initial response process to security incidents and issues;

- Use self-defense martial arts for protection and skills to restrain and stop offenders when necessary, and other physical and mental skills to solve most complex tasks within the profession;

- Integrate most group working skills such as organization, cooperation, connection, listening, responsibility, and assistance to perform assigned tasks well;

- Develop plans, assign specific tasks to members, organize implementation, and address most of the requirements and situations arising in the process of managing and operating professional task teams;

- Inspect and evaluate work results according to the proper procedures and quality at the workplaces;

- Write periodic reports and specialized reports according to the specific job position requirements; prepare files, record security violations, write incident reports, keep logbooks, and handle shift handovers;

- Use basic information technology as required; apply information technology to some professional tasks in the sector;

- Use basic foreign languages, achieve level 1/6 in the Vietnam’s language proficiency framework; apply foreign languages in some professional tasks in the sector.
