Strictly Prohibit Exploiting Golf Course Business to Organize Betting Activities

Decree 52/2020/ND-CP strictly prohibits the following actions in the investment, construction, and business activities of golf courses:

1. Constructing and operating golf courses without meeting the conditions and procedures stipulated in this Decree and relevant laws.

2. Exploiting golf course business to organize illegal betting, gambling, or gaming activities.

3. Obstructing or not complying with inspections and examinations by competent state management agencies as prescribed by law.

4. Failing to provide information or reports when requested by competent state management agencies in accordance with the law.

Additionally, the Decree also stipulates the conditions for investors implementing Golf Course Projects as follows:

- Meeting the conditions regarding financial capacity and the conditions for land leasing, changing the land-use purpose to carry out the Golf Course Project as prescribed by land law; providing a project implementation guarantee deposit (for cases requiring a deposit) in accordance with investment law.

- Having solutions, plans, and commitments to support resettlement, train and employ the labor force suitably for those currently using the land where the Golf Course Project is proposed and for local workers.

- Ensuring the necessary requirements and conditions for infrastructure concerning transportation, electricity, water supply, waste water treatment, and environmental protection by themselves.
