On June 20, 2022, the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam issued Directive 2677/CT-CHK on strengthening prevention and combating smuggling and commercial fraud in the activities of flight crew members of Vietnamese airlines.

Specifically, the strengthening of prevention and combat of smuggling and commercial fraud in the activities of flight crew members for Vietnamese airlines is as follows:
- Proactively arranging preventive measures to minimize violations of transporting smuggled goods, commercial fraud and counterfeit goods in flight crew's activities.
- Enhancing the responsibility of the leader in the field in charge of implementing measures to prevent and combat smuggling, commercial fraud and counterfeiting.
- Strictly following the provisions of Circular 46/2013/TT-BGTVT (amended and supplemented in Circular 28/2020/TT-BGTVT):
+ Temporarily suspending the work of the current aviation employee when the violation of "Abusing the working position to smuggle and illegally transport people, property and goods".
+ Do not use the position of aviation staff in any enterprise operating in the field of civil aviation in the cases of "Abusing the working position to smuggle, illegally transport people, property and goods”.
- Immediately notifying the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam when there is an incident of foreign authorities inspecting the airline's crew members.

At the same time, the airport authorities shall inspect and supervise of the implementation in the areas in charge by the Port Authority.
