The standards on area and interior standards of official houses of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam are stipulated in Decision 11/2024/QD-TTg.

Standards on area and interior standards of official houses of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam

Official houses are houses used to accommodate individuals eligible to rent Official houses during their tenure as stipulated by the Housing Law 2023.

On July 24, 2024, the Prime Minister of Vietnam issued Decision 11/2024/QD-TTg regarding standards on Area and interior standards of Official houses. Article 7 of Decision 11/2024/QD-TTg stipulates the standards on Area and interior standards of Official houses of the Ministry of Public Security (Hanoi, Vietnam) as follows:

(1) Members of the Politburo, Members of the Secretariat, the Minister of Public Security, and officers holding the rank of General are allocated official duty villas for rent, ensuring requirements according to the standards stipulated in Clause 2, Article 4 of Decision 11/2024/QD-TTg.

(2) Members of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, Deputy Ministers of Public Security, and officers holding the highest rank of Colonel General are allocated Official houses for rent as stipulated in Clause 4, Article 4 of Decision 11/2024/QD-TTg.

(3) Commanders of the Command of Guards, Commanders of the Mobile Police Command, Chief of the Ministry Office, Chief Inspector of the Ministry, Department Heads (officers holding the rank of Lieutenant General), Directors of the Political Academy of People's Public Security, Directors of the Academy of National Security, Directors of the Academy of Police, Directors of Hanoi Police, Directors of Ho Chi Minh City Police, and equivalents; officers holding positions and titles with the highest rank of Lieutenant General, are allocated Official houses for rent as stipulated in Clause 2, Article 5 of Decision 11/2024/QD-TTg.

(4) Department Heads, Directors of Provincial Police, Cities directly under the Central Government, Directors of the Academies of People's Public Security, Principals of Police Schools, Directors of Police Hospitals, and equivalents; officers holding positions and titles with the rank of Major General are allocated either of the following types of official duty housing:

- Adjacent houses with land areas from 100 m2 to less than 120 m2, ensuring requirements as stipulated in Point b, Clause 1, Article 3 of Decision 11/2024/QD-TTg;

- Apartments with usable areas from 100 m2 to less than 120 m2, ensuring requirements as stipulated in Point c, Clause 1, Article 3 of Decision 11/2024/QD-TTg;

- The maximum funding quota for internal equipment not attached to the official duty house stipulated in this Clause is VND 200 million.

(5) Deputy Commanders of the Command of Guards, Deputy Commanders of the Mobile Police Command, Deputy Chiefs of Staff, Deputy Chief Inspectors, Deputy Department Heads, Deputy Provincial Police Directors, Cities directly under the Central Government, Deputy Directors of the Academies of People's Public Security, Deputy Principals of Police Schools, Deputy Directors of Police Hospitals, and equivalents; officers holding positions and titles with the rank of Colonel are allocated Official houses for rent as stipulated in Clause 3, Article 5 of Decision 11/2024/QD-TTg.

(6) Heads and Deputy Heads of Departments and equivalents; officers holding positions and titles with the rank of Senior Lieutenant Colonel are allocated Official houses for rent as stipulated in Clause 4, Article 5 of Decision 11/2024/QD-TTg.

(7) Team Leaders, Deputy Team Leaders, Heads of Commune Police, Deputy Heads of Commune Police, Battalion Leaders, Deputy Battalion Leaders, Company Commanders, Deputy Company Commanders, and equivalents; officers without positions, and junior officers, are allocated Official houses for rent as stipulated in Clause 7, Article 6 of Decision 11/2024/QD-TTg.

(8) Police workers, cryptographers, individuals working in cryptographic organizations receiving salaries from the state budget under the Ministry of Public Security (Hanoi, Vietnam) who are dispatched, rotated, or seconded to work in remote areas, areas with especially difficult socio-economic conditions, border areas, and islands, are allocated houses for rent as stipulated in Clause 5, Article 5 of Decision 11/2024/QD-TTg.
