Railway registration inspectors are persons who meet the required standards and are recognized as railway registration inspectors to carry out the inspection of railway transportation vehicles and evaluate the certification of the urban railway operation safety management system in accordance with legal regulations.
According to Circular 19/2018/TT-BGTVT, railway inspectors are classified into two categories, as follows:
- Railway Inspector;- Senior Railway Inspector.
This Circular also specifically stipulates the standards for Railway Inspectors:
* For Railway Inspectors
- Graduated from a university in one of the following majors: locomotive, coach, metro electric train, railway system engineering, railway signal information;- Foreign language: Possess a foreign language certificate equivalent to level 2 of the Vietnamese language proficiency framework as stipulated in Circular 01/2014/TT-BGDDT issuing the 6-level Vietnamese language proficiency framework for Vietnam;- Meet the basic IT skill standards as per legal regulations;- Meet the requirements in the Railway Inspector assessment before being recognized as a Railway Inspector;- Have at least one year of training and practical experience in railway inspection.
* For Senior Railway Inspectors
- Have held the position of Railway Inspector for at least 5 years;- Foreign language: Possess a foreign language certificate equivalent to level 3 of the Vietnamese language proficiency framework as stipulated in Circular 01/2014/TT-BGDDT issuing the 6-level Vietnamese language proficiency framework for Vietnam;- Meet the requirements in the Senior Railway Inspector assessment before being recognized as a Senior Railway Inspector;- Have at least two years of training and practical experience in the appraisal of new vehicle design dossiers.
