Standards for Promotion in Military Rank for Non-Commissioned Officers and Soldiers

This is one of the main contents stipulated in Circular 07/2016/TT-BQP issued by the Ministry of National Defense on January 26, 2016.

Accordingly, the standards for considering the rank promotion for non-commissioned officers and enlisted soldiers serving in active duty are regulated by Circular 07 as follows:

- Properly assigned according to the organizational structure;- Meeting the political standards; completing the assigned responsibilities and duties; no disciplinary violations from the level of reprimand and above;- Meeting the required time for rank promotion for each level.

For reserve non-commissioned officers and enlisted soldiers:

- Properly assigned and appointed according to the organizational structure in reserve units;- Meeting the political standards; complying with the regulations on registration for service in the reserve category; participating in training, drills, readiness checks for mobilization, combat readiness, and policies in reserve units; completing the assigned responsibilities; no disciplinary violations from the level of reprimand and above;- Meeting the required time for rank promotion for each level.
