Standards for Literacy Eradication Recognition

Individuals meeting the literacy standards must satisfy the following criteria:

- Level 1 Literacy Standard: Successfully complete stage 1 of the literacy eradication and continuing education program post-literacy, or complete grade 3 of the primary education program.- Level 2 Literacy Standard: Successfully complete stage 2 of the literacy eradication and continuing education program post-literacy, or complete the primary education program.

Criteria for Recognition of Level 1 Literacy Eradication Standard:

- For communes: At least 90% of individuals aged 15 to 35 must be recognized as meeting the Level 1 literacy standard; for communes with particularly difficult socioeconomic conditions, at least 90% of individuals aged 15 to 25 must be recognized as meeting the Level 1 literacy standard;- For districts: At least 90% of communes must be recognized as meeting the Level 1 literacy eradication standard;- For provinces: At least 90% of districts must be recognized as meeting the Level 1 literacy eradication standard.

Criteria for Recognition of Level 2 Literacy Eradication Standard:

- For communes: At least 90% of individuals aged 15 to 60 must be recognized as meeting the Level 2 literacy standard; for communes with particularly difficult socioeconomic conditions, at least 90% of individuals aged 15 to 35 must be recognized as meeting the Level 2 literacy standard;- For districts: At least 90% of communes must be recognized as meeting the Level 2 literacy eradication standard;- For provinces: 100% of districts must be recognized as meeting the Level 2 literacy eradication standard.
