Standards for Becoming Inspectors in Population, Family, and Children Affairs

On April 3, 2006, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree No. 36/2006/ND-CP stipulating the organization and operation of the Inspection of Population, Family, and Children.

According to Decree 36/2006, Population, Family, and Children Inspectors are state officials appointed to the inspection branch and must meet the general standards for inspectors as stipulated in Article 31 of the Inspection Law, specifically:

- Loyal to the Fatherland and the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; possessing good moral qualities, a sense of responsibility, integrity, honesty, impartiality, and objectivity;- Graduated from a university, possessing knowledge of state management and legal knowledge; sectoral inspectors must also have specialized knowledge in their respective fields;- Possessing inspection skills;- At least 2 years of inspection work experience for those newly recruited to the inspection sector (not including probation period); if the officials are transferred from other agencies or organizations to state inspection agencies, they must have at least 1 year of inspection work experience.
