Some specific tasks of implementing the European Union–Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA)

In Decision 1201/QD-TTg of 2020, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam approved the creation of a Plan for Implementing the EVFTA. The plan aims to assign tasks and responsibilities to relevant agencies and organizations, determining directives, management measures, and other actions to fully and effectively implement this Agreement.

To achieve the above objective, in the upcoming time, apart from regular duties, ministries, ministry-equivalent agencies, government agencies, and People's Committees of centrally governed provinces and cities need to specify and organize the implementation of the basic tasks below:

(i) Propaganda and dissemination of information about the EVFTA and the markets of EU countries

(ii) Legal and institutional development

(iii) Enhance competitiveness and human resource development

(iv) Policies regarding trade unions and workers' organizations at enterprise levels

(v) Social welfare policies, environmental protection, and sustainable development

Specific Tasks for Implementing the EVFTA 

Content mentioned in Official Dispatch 6548/VPCP-QHQT of 2020 concerning the Appendix attached to Decision 1201/QD-TTg approving the Plan for Implementing the EVFTA of the Government of Vietnam issued by the Office of the Government of Vietnam.
