Signs on Dedicated Inland Waterway Routes

To be specific, according to Section 3 Appendix I issued together with Circular 49/2018/TT-BGTVT, the regulations on the codes recorded on inland waterway specialized route signals are as follows:

- The inland waterway specialized route system connecting with the national inland waterway; inland waterway specialized route crossing two or more provinces or connecting the national inland waterway with the local inland waterway is regulated as follows: CDQGXZ.

In which:

- CD: is the abbreviation for the inland waterway specialized route system;- QG: is the abbreviation for the national inland waterway system;- X: the national inland waterway route number is regulated in clause 1 of this Appendix;- Z: is the continuous serial number starting from 01 for the first specialized inland waterway route connecting with the national inland waterway from downstream to upstream.

Example: The inland waterway specialized route system connecting with the national inland waterway (Ha Long Bay channel), according to the regulation in clause 1 of this Appendix, Ha Long Bay channel is coded as QG062; the first route has the sequence number 01; the specialized inland waterway code written on the signal is: CDQG06201.

- The inland waterway specialized route system connecting with the local inland waterway is regulated as follows: CDYXZ.

In which:

- CD: is the abbreviation for the inland waterway specialized route system;- Y: is the abbreviation for the local inland waterway system according to clause 2 of this Appendix;- X: is the local inland waterway route number regulated by the People's Committee of the province or centrally governed city;- Z: is the continuous serial number starting from 01 for the first specialized inland waterway route connecting with the local inland waterway from downstream to upstream.

Example: The inland waterway specialized route system connecting with the inland waterway of Ho Chi Minh City, in which the specialized inland waterway connecting with the inland waterway of Ho Chi Minh City has the route number 002; the first route has the sequence number 01; the specialized inland waterway code is written as follows: CDSG00201.
