The levels of radiation source security are divided into 4 levels, specifically regulated in Circular 01/2019/TT-BKHCN as follows:
- Based on the danger level of radiation sources and potential risks to humans and the environment, the security requirements are divided into 4 levels A, B, C, and D. Security level A corresponds to the group of radiation sources with the highest danger and potential risks, while security level D corresponds to the group of radiation sources with the lowest danger and potential risks.- Security levels A, B, C, and D correspond to the groups of radiation sources regulated in the National Technical Regulation QCVN 6:2010/BKHCN on Radiation Safety - Classification and Categorization of Radiation Sources issued together with Circular 24/2010/TT-BKHCN:
- Security level A applies to group 1 radiation sources;- Security level B applies to group 2 radiation sources;- Security level C applies to group 3 radiation sources;- Security level D applies to group 4 and group 5 radiation sources.
