the Government of Vietnam has just issued Decree 143/2017/ND-CP on regulations for the protection of maritime structures.
The scope of protection for a floating pier is calculated from the center position of the mooring turtle anchor of the floating pier to the end of the limit of the ship anchoring water area according to the design and from the line connecting the center positions of the mooring turtle anchors to the remaining sides as determined by the technical mooring buoy standards. To be specific:
- At least 60 meters for works with a water depth from the bottom elevation of the pier to the designed low water level greater than 20 meters;- At least 50 meters for the floating pier area with a water depth from the bottom elevation of the pier to the designed low water level from 16 meters to 20 meters;- At least 40 meters for the floating pier area with a water depth from the bottom elevation of the pier to the designed low water level from 12 meters to 16 meters;- At least 30 meters for the floating pier area with a water depth from the bottom elevation of the pier to the designed low water level from 8 meters to 12 meters;- At least 20 meters for the floating pier area with a water depth from the bottom elevation of the pier to the designed low water level less than 8 meters.
