Rights and Responsibilities of the Reporting Units under the Ministry of Industry and Trade

On December 30, 2016, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Circular 42/2016/TT-BCT regulating the statistical reporting regime applicable to administrative and non-business units under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

According to the regulations in Circular 42/2016/TT-BCT, units submitting reports within the administrative and non-business units under the Ministry of Industry and Trade have the following rights, responsibilities, and obligations:

- Ensure the confidentiality of the information provided according to the law.- Fully and accurately comply with the reporting requirements and information content as prescribed in the Statistical Reporting Regime and be legally responsible for the report's content.- Submit reports within the stipulated deadline.- Check and resubmit reports and related information concerning statistical reports upon the receiving unit's request.

Also according to Circular 42/2016/TT-BCT, the receiving unit has the following rights and responsibilities:

- Direct, organize, and inspect the implementation of the Statistical Reporting Regime.- Request the reporting unit to check and resubmit reports and related information concerning statistical reports as needed.- Ensure the publication, use, and confidentiality of statistical information according to the law.- Provide data and summarized statistical information to the superior state management agency or related units as prescribed by law.
