Responsibilities of the Minister of National Defense in Citizen Reception

The Ministry of National Defense issued Circular 59/2016/TT-BQP, which was promulgated by the Ministry of National Defense on April 21, 2016, specifying regulations on citizen reception within the Ministry of National Defense.

Circular 59 stipulates that the Minister of Defense has the following responsibilities in citizen reception:

- Stipulate citizen reception in accordance with the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Defense;- Lead, direct, and organize the citizen reception work of the Ministry of Defense; ensure the necessary material conditions for citizen reception as per regulations;- Directly perform the citizen reception at least one day per month at the Citizen Reception Office of the Ministry of Defense; receive citizens unexpectedly as per the request of the Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Defense;- Direct the Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Defense; heads of agencies and units under the Ministry of Defense (hereafter referred to as heads of agencies, units) to closely coordinate with related agencies and organizations to seriously implement the task of regular and unexpected citizen reception;- Authorize the Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Defense to issue internal regulations on citizen reception; perform the standing task of citizen reception of the Ministry of Defense and require heads of relevant agencies and units to assign personnel for citizen reception when necessary.
