Below is the important content specified in Circular 58/2011/TT-BGDDT promulgating regulation on assessment and classification of secondary school and high school students in Vietnam issued by the Ministry of Education and Training on December 12, 2011.
Responsibilities of teachers in evaluating and grading students' conduct and academic performance in Vietnam (Internet image)
According to Circular 58/2011/TT-BGDDT, secondary school homeroom teachers and subject teachers in charge of evaluating and grading students' conduct and academic performance have the following responsibilities:
1. Responsibilities of subject teachers under the law in Vietnam
2. Responsibilities of the homeroom teachers under the law in Vietnam
- To inspect the book of name and points of the class; and help principal monitor the examination of scoring, the levels of comments under the provisions of this Regulation.
- To calculate grade point average of subjects by the semester, the school year to certify the repair of points, repair of the subject teacher's comments in the book of names and points, in the transcripts.
- To assess and classify conduct and learning capacity of each semester, the school year of students. To make a list of students recommended for passing, not being passed their grade; students recognized as good students, advanced students; students required to take the re-examination of the subjects, students required to train their conduct in summer vacation.
- To make a list of students suggested rewarding at the end of semester, school year.
- To record in the book of names and points and in the transcripts the following contents:
- To coordinate with the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers, Communist Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh and the representatives of the class’s students’ parents to organize activities to educate students
